The Brown’s Family Music

Handed Down, Played by Heart

Over four generations of the Brown family and friends have gathered in living rooms and kitchens across Missouri and beyond, just to visit and make music. The songs reach as far back as a remote Alaska radio station in 1942, where J.R McKay played for troops in World War Two. Fiddles, banjos, guitars, and voices — captured on tape and lovingly remastered.
